• Ximian Gnome (http://www.ximian.com). Latest GNOME + other great desktop apps (e.g. Evolution mail client).
• http://www.geocrawler.com. Mailing list archives.
• http://www.google.com, http://groups.google.com. Search the web and newsgroup postings for Linux related info.
• http://www.linux.com, http://www.linux.org
• http://www.freshmeat.net. Great site full of software announcements. Searchable database of linux/unix software.
• http://www.rpmfind.net. Find RPM's for just about any Linux software.
• Lots of linux-savvy folks at the lab (try the mailing list!)
