Profile:

Research staff at the University of Maryland, 1979 - 1985, working in basic plasma physics, nonlinear wave-wave interactions, microinstabilities in mirror machines. Research staff at the University of Wisconsin, 1985 - 1992, working in tandem mirror physics, radio frequency heating of tandem mirrors and tokamaks, and rf-edge plasma interactions. Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, 1992 - present. Areas of interest include radio frequency heating of tokamaks, engineering aspects of liquid lithium walls for fusion reactors, and most recently the modifications to tokamak equilibria introduced by very low recycling boundary conditions. Presently Principal Investigator of the Lithium Tokamak eXperiment (LTX).
