Ngmath example 12

Illustrates the use of ftsurf.

This example can be created using NCL. It demonstrates how to use the Fitgrid package to calculate an interpolatory surface passing through a rectangular grid of functional values (Fitgrid is part of the Ngmath library). The generated surface can be represented as a tensor product of splines under tension. The name of the source file for this example is nm12n.ncl.

Discussion

This module discusses how to use the Fitgrid package from within NCL.

This plot does not use any external data.

How to run this example

This example can be generated using an NCL script (nm12n.ncl). The example is installed in the following location:

You can copy this example and run it by typing "ng4ex nm12n". A copy of the source file and resource file will be placed in your current working directory and run through NCL for you.
