Simple Java Animation
This is an animation using Sun's
animator class .
What you are seeing is a 3-D projection plot of the plasma temperature in
a cross-section of the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor (TFTR). As a result of
a helically shaped (and toroidally rotating; at a fixed toroidal location
one sees this) instability, a cold island first develops and then leads
to a flattening of the whole profile.
