NTCC Module Standards and Specifications
A common general set of standards is required for all
contributions to the Module Library.
The Standards described in
Standards and Goals will be enforced for the
modules submitted to the library; whereas, Goals are strongly
encouraged and may become future standards for the module library.
Guidelines for meeting standards for building a module:
- Use GNU make: usually available in /usr/local/bin or /usr/gnu/bin
- Provide a Makefile to determine flags, etc. for different Operating Systems
(see Make.flags) as an example.
- Example for a simple Makefile to compile and link with(out) debug.
- Example for a Makefile using "web".
Criteria used to select modules for inclusion in the Module Library:
- modules needed for the demonstration project
- modules needed for use in existing transport codes
- modules already used in existing transport codes that have been offered for
inclusion in the Module Library
