Primitives example 4
This example shows how to draw graphic primitives into an
IrregularPlot object (and therefore using the IrregularTransformation).
This example demonstrates how to create the plot using HLU library
calls or NCL. The names of the example codes that create this plot
are pr04c.c, pr04f.f, and pr04n.ncl.
Discussion
Resources are controlled through a resource file called
pr04.res.
A detailed discussion about how to create the plot appears in the
comments of the source code for the example.
The HLU C program that generates this plot is
called pr04c.c.
The HLU FORTRAN program that generates this plot is
called pr04f.f.
The HLU NCL program that generates this plot is
called pr04n.ncl.
The data are generated from within the program or script.
There are three ways to produce this example: by using a C program
(pr04c.c), a FORTRAN program (pr04f.f), or an NCL script (pr04n.ncl).
The examples are installed in the following locations:
- $NCARG_LIB/ncarg/hluex/primitives/pr04c.c
- $NCARG_LIB/ncarg/hluex/primitives/pr04f.f
- $NCARG_LIB/ncarg/nclex/primitives/pr04n.ncl
You can copy this example and run it by typing "ng4ex pr04c", "ng4ex
pr04f", or "ng4ex pr04n". A copy of the source file will be placed in
your current working directory. The source code will be compiled (if
appropriate) and automatically run for you.
