isdim

This function is used to check if variable dimensions are defined in variables before accessing them.

Synopsis

	function isdim( 
		var,
		dimnames:string
	)

Arguments

var: var must be a variable or variable subsection of any type or dimension.
dimnames: dimnames must be an array of strings but can have any dimension.

Description

For each element in the dimnames parameter, isdim returns True if the element is a dimension of the variable and False if not. The output of isdim is a logical array with the same dimensions as the dimnames parameter. If the parameter var is not a variable, then a single missing value is returned.
