As a member of the PPPL procurement team, the Procurement Analyst will work closely with Procurement management and other professional staff members to expedite supplier performance of PPPL subcontracts, purchase orders and other contractual agreements from award through contract closeout. The Procurement Analyst will serve as the Division's first-line information resource for all internal customers, and will facilitate   communication between Laboratory stakeholders and suppliers, and will: present recurring reports to the Director of Procurement on the status of all assigned work; identify actions that do not meet Laboratory performance expectations; and recommend and implement appropriate corrective action, as directed by management. The Procurement Analyst will provide training and advice on requisition preparation to new Laboratory employees. The Procurement Analyst will function as the primary Office Supplies System Blanket Purchase Agreement Administrator, with responsibility for systems operation and integrity.  The Procurement Analyst will also function as the backup for the Laboratory Procurement Card System Administrator. As a Laboratory PCard Holder, the Procurement Analyst will administer the Laboratory’s low-dollar, onsite service call program, obtaining vendor insurance certficates and credentials, placing orders, and coordinating vendor site visits with PPPL Site Security and end users. The Procurement Analyst will provide analytical and systems support to division staff members and the Director of Procurement, including compilation and analysis of operational metrics and the preparation of ad hoc reports in response to management and Government inquiries.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline is required.  A minimum of four years' work experience, including one year of purchasing/expediting is required.  This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with special consideration given to expertise in Microsoft Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task are also essential. Membership in or certification by a supply management professional society such as NCMA or ISM is a plus.
