The Subcontract Auditor will report to the Laboratory CFO and will be responsible for a full range of audit services primarily in support of the Laboratory's procurement operations. In summary, the Subcontract Auditor will perform contract cost, indirect rate and cost accounting system audits (pre-award, interim and close-out) for largely cost type contracts negotiated by PPPL that are considered medium to high risk. Specifically, the Subcontract Auditor will be responsible for the cradle-to-grave development and execution of audit plans, including but not limited to, project scope statements, interim and final reports with observations and recommendations all supported by thorough and well documented working papers.

Qualifications include: 1. a Bachelors degree in Accounting (minimum of 36 semester hours accounting/auditing); 2. a CPA license; 3. a minimum of 8 years of experience in the auditing field, including a consistent progression to more responsible assignments; and 4. experience working with cost-type subcontract audits and cost/price analysis in a DOE or DOD environment. Also required are a working knowledge of relevant FAR, DEAR, CAS and DCAA audit procedures and strong analytical and communications skills.
