ECH

Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH or ECH) is used for plasma breakdown and start-up.

LTX-β will use an X-band 10.36 GHz 2-3? kW steady-state? source with a horn launching through an angled horizontal 6" port below the TS laser entrance. A 100 kW, ~5 ms pulsed magnetron will later be built by Eagle Harbor Technologies.

LTX used a 5.? GHz ? kW source with a horn launching through the FG 8" midplane port.
