GS2 course notes ---------------- Dorland at PPPL, Jan 8-10, 2003 Documentation at http://gs2.sourceforge.net/ Lecture notes at bottom of http://gk.umd.edu Or use realplayer (called realplay in some versions, downloadable from www.real.com) to see: rtsp://philco.pppl.gov/encoder/gs2.rm ---------------- In "le_grids_knobs", "le" refers to "lambda-energy" grid. New default (not backwards compatible), is to use the Candy-Waltz energy grid (advanced_egrid=T): set negrid ~ 10-16 good (16 parallelizes well on Seaborg) set ecut ~ 6 (equivalent to ecut ~ 2.5 in old method) set conserve_momentum=.false. (because momentum conservation model is not really correct for e-i collisions, and slows down code by a factor of 2-3). ------------------
