NSTX GPI Library (2010 data)


These are movies of NSTX GPI data taken in 2010 at 400,000 frames/sec.

The dashed line is the separatrix and the dotted line is the RF limiter shadow.

The first movie shows 12 blobs, each for only 120 microseconds at 4 frames/sec.

The movies below that are 4 msec long and play at 20 frames/sec for each shot.

Below that are more movies with 2 msec of GPI data at 20 frames/sec.

These movies were made in collaboration with Ricky Maqueda and Bill Davis.

Downloading the Video to a Mac using Netscape Communicator:

  • In the dialogue box, select "Source" as the format,
  • choose where you want the file saved to, e.g, the desktop, and
  • click the "Save" button.

Downloading the Video to a Mac using Internet Explorer:
  • Click and hold down the mouse on the video link.
  • When the options appear, select "Download Link to Disk"
  • Click the "Save" button.

Downloading the Video to a PC:
  • Right click the mouse on the video link.
  • In the dialogue box, "Save Target as ..."
