Notation

The following conventions are used in this manual:

$ CUPLOT Underlined text in this font indicates something you

would type to the computer, or put into a command file.

Command[ ]? Plain text in this font indicates something that would

be output by a program or the operating system to your

screen or log file.

$ A dollar at the beginning of a line indicates the operating

system prompt; the actual prompt depends on which

cluster node you are using; e.g., ``BIRCH$'' or ``RAX$''.

ctrl-Z The notation ctrl-n indicates that you hold down the

control key while you type the character ``n''.

CR CR means the RETURN key.
