TotalView Miscellaneous software xbp Restoring files
1) In support of being a beta site for the new TotalViews.
TotalView 4X has been downloaded and built on Solaris Digital Unix Linux These are licensed until 15-mar-2000. As part of our beta site obligation, the TotalView company expects use to test all features and report problems found.
2) To test the beta TotalView on the LINUX systems
% setenv TVROOT /usr/local/totalview % cd /u/randerso/TestTotalViewX/linux % $TVROOT/bin/totalview ./test
To use ssh instead of rsh when connecting to remote systems:
% setenv TVDSVRLAUNCHCMD /usr/bin/ssh % $TVROOT/bin/totalview -remote puffin ./test
To test the beta TotalView on the Digital Unix and the Solaris systems, define TVROOT using totalviewx
% setenv TVROOT /usr/local/totalviewx % cd /u/randerso/TestTotalViewX/osf1 % $TVROOT/bin/totalview ./test

The Release Notes describe new features, have a list of know problems, and how to describe report new problems.
The CLI Guide describes the new Command Line Interface.
