Welcome to the website of 2005 summer workshop at Plasma Physics Laboratory, Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey. The purpose of the workshop is to facilitate discussion on nonlocal, collisionless phenomena in low pressure plasmas, including both high- and low-temperature plasma communities. Such low pressure plasmas have remarkable property: changing condition at one place may lead to unexpected changes far away in another part of the plasma. Workshop participants are cordially invited to submit a paper for special issue of IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science on "Nonlocal, collisionless electron transport in plasmas". Invited speakers are asked to deliver review papers suitable for students and non-experts. A Special Issue, a collection of these review papers, will serve as an advanced textbook on electron kinetics in plasmas. | |
