NOTE: new users are strongly recommended to download these benchmark cases data and reproduce the results before doing their own PT_SOLVER study.

ALL the data for the test cases listed in this website are publically available, and going to be the important data base for model validation. There are NOT allowed for any commercial usage. If the releasement of the data are restricted, please send email to: transp_help@pppl.gov, we will remove the data from our website.

If you have any questions about the benchmark test cases, please directly contact the author.

If users want to add their own benchmark test case to here, please send an email to: transp_help@pppl.gov.

Several different level of benchmark testing for PT_SOLVER should be done with different tokamak devices, and different discharge parameter regions. The first step to validate PT_SOLVER code is called zero-step test, which checks the correctness of code implementation. The second step is the cross-code validation, in this step, PT_SOLVER results will be compared with GACODE TGYRO and XPTOR results. Finally, time-dependent PTRANSP-PT_SOLVER results will be benchmarked against experimental data.
