From QED
The two modes for parallel propagation are n2 = R and n2 = L. These are:
The R term will be n2 = 1 + γ at ω = 0, it will go to to 1 as .
The L term will be n2 = 1 + γ at ω = 0, go to at ω / ΩH = 1 / 16 (Oxygen), continue from to at ω / ΩH = 1 / 4 (Helium), and continue from at ω / ΩH = 1 (Hydrogen). It will then continue from .
